I NEED MORE...

"I need more toys and playgrounds in my life." That's what my friend told me yesterday. I love it! It is so easy to lose the laughter and the pursuit of fun. What part of Life says boring? Our experience? The news? The thought of math class? (Sorry, Mr. Baker.)

Jeff went river rafting awhile back. He is such a great example of determining your atmosphere. When He is playing, it's BIG play.  He can be in the darkest circumstance yet always draws on God, the source of his joy.  The source of his strength.  Jeff is serious about life, God and people but every room is still his playground!

What one thing can you do today that will effect your atmosphere?  Is it music, speaking positive, something creative?  Do it.  Determine your atmosphere.

Find your fun today.

OUR PASTOR'S A RACE CAR DRIVER!

Over 10 percent of those at The Rock Church are at church and/or found Christ through our pastor's obedience to step into the Nascar arena. Yes, he is my husband but also my pastor and I think it is way cool that such an amazing church can get behind their pastor and others who are reaching the pre-Christians right where they are at.

Gone are the days of exhaust inhaling, adrenaline junkie men who know how to throw themselves into their passions yet sit with their arms crossed in church or don't even come at all. For sake of non-connection, not knowing the Life they'd find, or other reasons, too many families sit fragmented and longing to align with a great cause. We are just the church and just the people called to connect.

The field has proven itself to be good ground and the harvest is ripe. Now is the time to support the Race Team and support our pastor, Jeff. Whether in speech, getting to a Saturday night race, prayer, time, etc. it is yielding a mighty harvest.

Your field is proven! It's time to take that extra "oomph" and rekindle that passion for the pre-Christian. Get out there and grow God's kingdom!

CONGRATULATIONS QUARRY GRADUATES!

The Quarry, School of Creative Ministry held it's graduation on Friday evening. I am so proud of our graduates. If you have walked through the doors of The Rock Church, you have been impacted by these fine young men and women. They have been across the globe and down the street, practicing their faith and refining their character. It really can't be put into words because each one walked a different journey. Each one surpassing milestones they had set. Some slated for full-time ministry and others business and teaching which we all know is a life of ministry.

We are slated to have the largest class ever, in September. I expect God to move mightily. Although we currently give credits for our courses, we are working with Portland Bible College on some exciting credit/degree news. I will release the news when it's confirmed. We have students coming in from out of town and out of country (Guam) so if you are interested in hosting one or more in your home, please e-mail me at mknight@trclife.com. Applications are still being accepted.

Pastor Jeff's blog had a fantastic post you'll want to read.
