I will post more when I get a chance to get on the laptop. (When? I am not sure (-: )
I awoke with a renewed strength. It is truly a new day.
Although difficult to explain in "natural" terms, even in sorrow, there is always joy. Joy in God's presence. A tremendous hope. I love the scripture Jeff posted on his blog: 2 Cor. 4:17, 18.
I have been confessing this joy and hope along with giving praise to God. I know from previous times of grief and tragedy that although we may feel it is night, God is there and worthy of our praise. He is the Lord of the Breakthrough and is faithful to lead us to triumph.
Today is the first day I awoke without feeling a huge heaviness of heart. Thank you for your prayers, text and calls.
I have never gone through something so intimate and life altering and shared it with so many people.
I look forward to sharing what amazing things God has and is doing inside my heart. Things He has been working for years on.
Wow.

It is a new day and I am excited to see what God will do with this opportunity.
I personally want to thank you for sharing your joy and your pain with all of us -- allowing us to love on you even more. I love you Pastor Mel, and we're continuing in our prayers for you.

Pastor mel, you are an amazing woman!!! Thank you for letting us be a part of your life and sharing the good moments and the not so good moments. I truly admire you for your strength in God and courage but most of all for your faith. I don't know that I could have chosen to find joy on a day where it would be easier to be sad. I am so honored and so blessed to have you as our Pastor! I love you tons. Schaenherr's

I will lead you along roads you have never known, Melinda, I will guide you along unfamiliar paths; I will turn the darkness into light before you and make the rough paths smooth. These are the things I will do; I will not forsake you.
