It's Friday, I arrived to the office about forty-five minutes ago.
On my way, I was taken out of my routine by a woman in the car next to me. I was sitting at a stoplight and heard really loud music playing. As I turned to see where it was coming from, I noticed it coming from the car to my right. Upon further observation, I saw a woman in the car and then heard the word, "hallelujah" blaring from her radio. She was obviously listening to music that glorified God.
She was taking the opportunity to immerse herself in God's presence. You see, where we praise Him, there He is. In our midst.
There are so many factors which keep me from recognizing or praising God. Whether it's doubt, ignorance, pride, focusing too closely on the details, a busy schedule or any other self-inflicted crisis; the only common denominator is me. I control my thoughts. I control my life. I can choose to give that control to other things, the enemy or ultimately to the things of God.
Maybe you don't feel clean enough to lift your hands or to freely tell God you love Him. As far as the east is from the west, Christ has removed our sin from us. We simply must ask forgiveness from Him, turn and walk away from that sin.
As I continued my drive to the office, I turned up the music and began focusing on and praising God. I asked forgiveness and asked Him to create in me a clean heart and renew me. Sure enough, I became immersed in His presence.
Again...It's Friday. Start the weekend off right. Take a moment, go to your car, sit in the bathroom stall, take a walk or whatever you have to do to break away and immerse yourself in God.

Good morning Pastor Mel! Blessings to you on this beautiful day. I can't thank you enough for your honestly about your walk with the Lord. Someimtes I assume that the pastors are always praying, always praising, etc. -- that God is always your first reaction to situations -- and always wish I could do that all the time too -- and then the Lord slaps me with the reality that (gasp) you are just like me! (smile) Yes, I'm ready for Friday!! I got to work early this morning, and was locked out of the office because I left my keys at home -- so since I had 45 minutes to wait, I went down to the river and sat and read my bible -- watched the beautiful river and enjoyed God's glory. It was a wonderful, beautiful morning to enjoy it! And yes, I'm ready for Friday -- Joe and I have a DATE tonight -- thank you Lord! We're going to Maggianos -- our group in CR blessed us with a gift card there as a wedding gift! Just us -- no kids! nice. Have a blessed weekend. All my love to you ~~Michele
