WEEKEND RECAP

I have been away from technology. It is good to be back. God has done so many things these past few days!

Above is a picture of our new set. Lots of room! It was an incredible platform to minister from on Easter. The stage feels so much closer and in touch with the crowd.

Our First Annual Easter Eggstravaganza went awesome. We had over 500 wild participants. Todd and Staci Scheffer, along with our interns and volunteers did a fantastic job heading this up. This is the first of many. Next year, Stocker Field with lots more cool prizes and ideas that will make you say..."No Way!"

Our Easter services (Sat. night and three on Sunday morning) were full of excitement. The foyer was buzzing with people and Life. With 1,315 in attendance, we jumped 21% over last year's stats. 48 people raised their hands for salvation with 15 of them standing to acknowledge a first time salvation. That is more than we could ask for.

I LOVED the glow sticks. Even those who haven't ever been to church felt comfortable raising a glow stick. Next time, when they want to lift their hands in worship, it may be more comfortable!

Next week, Pastor Jeff will be bringing a message on Fulfillment. Plans were made in our creative meeting today to make the third largest service one not to miss. We will be baptizing on Sunday, too. If you haven't been baptized, bring shorts and a non-white t-shirt. Don't worry, it will all be explained and you will know exactly when to go change and what to do! I remember when I was baptized. I was five years old. I remember everything about it. I remember what a special service that was for me. It was an outward sign of an inward commitment to Christ. Jeff was baptized in the same month at the same church and we didn't even know one another! Now, that's a God moment!
