The weekend was full of awesome moments in God. It began out at the race track where Jeff and Roger both raced Rock Church race cars. I don't know how the other driver's wives stay composed. Maybe they don't. I was shouting, "Go faster!" And then a big, "Oh, not so fast. Look out!" I surrendered a long time ago, to the fact that my man is going to go hard or go home...in everything he does. I also know that God made him passionate, has His Psalm 91 protection around him and prospers everything he puts his hands to. I learned to embrace it all and be his biggest fan.
I am so proud of him and the entire race team for getting in the middle of the race world and not watering down Christ in them.
Our TVM youth service was a special service. The inspired worship and message touched hearts and sunk deep. If you are in high school or college, get out there. You don't want to miss these "God opportunities." You also play an important role in supporting someone else's decision for life-change.
We just finished our fourth week in the series, "Friction." It truly reached me to the core. I loved today's message that dealt with that daily place of friction between the door of the flesh and the door of the Spirit. Ultimately, we get to throw the towel in the ring and let Jesus do the fighting for us. Wow! It is powerful to know the battle has already been won.
Jeff commented, "When all is said and done the four weeks yielded, 65 re-commitments to Christ, 19 first-time salvation's, 91 water baptisms, several people experiencing the gifts of the Spirit for the first time, a pile of towels thrown into the ring as a sign of surrender and a motivated Church to lead people to the door of salvation!"
Now that's a song I LOVE to sing!!!
