MOTORCYCLE ENDORSEMENT CLASSES PART V

A full day of skills riding. I perfected the difficult one I couldn't get last night.

Another woman didn't show up to class today. We took the skills test and four riders didn't pass. I was not one of them. Yes, I passed the test and am now an official "Bike Chick."

One thing I haven't quite mastered...helmet head! I am a bit exhausted, this evening. I think it was the anticipation of the test. Thanks for walking this journey with me. I had fun.

MOTORCYCLE ENDORSEMENT CLASSES PART IV

Okay, I'll be short for the few who I am sure are bored with my motorcycle journey. I am posting this for those of you who are interested in taking a similar journey or just want to read about my crazy days!

Have you ever done a figure eight with both feet on the foot pegs while staying in a small box? Well, it's difficult. I almost had it inside the box.

At one point I thought to myself, "I have to pass because of all those bloggers who will know if I don't!" That thought was quickly fleeting because that was too much pressure!

One woman did not finish the day. I was sad because she was taking the class with her husband. At least she'll still be able to ride with him.

I am quite exhausted from my trip to Portland, class, test and then skills instruction today. Praise God it didn't rain! Thank you for your prayers.

We just learned basics today. Tomorrow is the application. I am exhausted (can you tell by my haphazardly writing?) so want to rest up for church. I'll see you in the morning.

MOTORCYCLE ENDORSEMENT CLASSES PART III

I passed the written last night. Now, I will pick up my boots at Eastside Harley and head to the skills portion. We'll get 15 hours of riding instruction today and tomorrow followed by the skills test.

MOTORCYCLE ENDORSEMENT CLASSES

Tomorrow begins my journey to getting my motorcycle endorsement. I begin in the classroom tomorrow and Friday evening and move to the course on Saturday and Sunday afternoon. Typically, the class is two full days but since I did not want to miss TVM Saturday night or Sunday church, I found a four-day class which accommodates my schedule.

When I was little, I went to Island Lake motorcycle camp two years in a row. It was a blast! This was after I had been to Horse Camp several times and needed a bit more speed. In high school, my dad bought my brother and I some old (I mean old) Hondas that we rode around our 10 acres (up on Trombley Hill).

Even with my brief and almost none existent motorcycle history, I am a bit nervous. But my need to be in charge of the handle bars overpowers the nerves.

I'll keep you posted on how it goes! I already prepped Jeff that I will need a helmet, boots and gloves. Listen, if I don't need them, please don't ruin it for me and tell him! I think borrowing a helmet from the school is almost as bad as renting bowling shoes!
