6 EASY STEPS TO LOSING WEIGHT AND LIVING HEALTHY

My passion is helping people accomplish their dreams. Part of every dream is living a healthy life. In order to live the dream, we have to be around to enjoy it, right? With the epidemic of obesity in this nation, this is the first generation that is said will not outlive their parents. Losing weight or maintaining a healthy weight is a daily journey. It takes persistence. Prov. 14:28 tells us that in all labor there is profit but idle chatter leads only to poverty. It is truth! Every little bit helps.

But it's more than a diet. I don't diet. And it's more than a resolution. It is a lifestyle. In the following list, I have incuded 6 easy steps to losing weight and living healthy that fit into your lifestyle.
1. Eat breakfast. Think of your metabolism as a furnace. When we eat breakfast, it starts that furnace up and allows it to function at a higher rate than if a meal is skipped.
2. Eat 4-6 small meals each day. This keeps metabolism running and burning calories all day. Eating throughout the day also keeps hunger at bay and allows your body to easily utilize the nutrients in small doses.
3. Carry a water bottle (drink 6-8 glasses each day). Many times when our brain tells us we are hungry, it is really mistaking thirst for hunger. Water helps satiate that need.
4. Snack on healthy foods. A handful of raw almonds, a piece of fruit or yogurt are a few great choices for a low-fat yet healthy snack.
5. Walk, walk, walk. I recently purchased a pedometer, a small device which counts how many steps are taken in a day. Aim for 10,000. I was amazed at what a difference just taking the stairs or parking a bit farther away makes.
6. If you make a mistake, don't stop! Don't give up!

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!!! I so needed this. I've been having some weight issues the last few months. I started walking on my elliptical trainer 20 minutes a day AND eating breakfast. (Haven't made the breakfast everyday, but I'm getting there). I'm encouraged by your advice to lose weight and live healthy.....for a very LONG Time :-)
