CHRISTMAS GIFT

When I was 5 years old, our house burned to the ground on New Year's Eve. All our presents, baby pictures...everything but the underwear I was wearing and a blanket. (Too much information, I am sure!) The most important thing to me, aside from the baby stuff was my Christmas Stocking. It was knitted and said "Mindy." That was my nickname.

Maybe that is why I have been trying so hard to find a special stocking for Seven. On Sunday, a special woman gave me this stocking with her name on it. So special! I had prayed for this and not found anything. It was because God had something special for her.

I am blessed by this memory made for her! Now, if you have something you are believing for, trust God and leave it in His hands.

very cute the funny thing about knitted Christmas stockings is that the more you put in them the longer they grew. My kids loved them

awww thats precious. This little story gave me chills. How wonderful of whoever gave that to Seven. How awesome is our God to give us even the smallest and or what would be to most insignificant blessings. I bet your heart was full to overflowing. God Bless you PMel,and little Seven.

Very true Sue, knitted stockings stretch! Maybe that is part of the reason why I loved mine. (-:

It's always a nice surprise when God uses someone to bless us with the small stuff. Thank you for sharing your story! :)
