CONGRATULATIONS QUARRY GRADUATES!
The Quarry, School of Creative Ministry held it's graduation on Friday evening. I am so proud of our graduates. If you have walked through the doors of The Rock Church, you have been impacted by these fine young men and women. They have been across the globe and down the street, practicing their faith and refining their character. It really can't be put into words because each one walked a different journey. Each one surpassing milestones they had set. Some slated for full-time ministry and others business and teaching which we all know is a life of ministry.
We are slated to have the largest class ever, in September. I expect God to move mightily. Although we currently give credits for our courses, we are working with Portland Bible College on some exciting credit/degree news. I will release the news when it's confirmed. We have students coming in from out of town and out of country (Guam) so if you are interested in hosting one or more in your home, please e-mail me at mknight@trclife.com. Applications are still being accepted.
Pastor Jeff's blog had a fantastic post you'll want to read.

Hey Mel.
I loved what you wrote on your blog for your Quarry grads. I know you are a great influence into these young lives...the girls have confirmed that...now that you are more than a "spiritual mom", you can appreciate even more the nurturing and importance of hugs, smiles, chats, and caring arms for hugs or cries.
Keep loving my girls and thank you and Jeff for all the special love and attention you have showered on them. I know you have made many sacrifices and faced difficult challenges while trying to love, disciple and shape the lives of all your Quarry grads. that have passed the thru the halls of RC over the 8 years of working with it, but it has not gone unnoticed by the Lord. You, Jeff and the grads are all more blessed and enriched because a young woman(you)and a man(Jeff)had a vision for passionate young adults who would minister Kingdom principles around the world if they were properly poured into and demanded excellence of, at another level. I hope neither of you will ever fully take your hands, heart, or vision off of it. Young people today with such postmodern beliefs and broken homes, need more than ever loving, caring mentors who will simply tell them of their "destinies", while at the same time infuse passion and the love for ministry into their tender and yearning hearts, as they search for Truth and commitment in Christ. Thank you on a personal note for assisting with Tiffany's injured and broken heart, as well. Stay blessed and see ya soon
Kenny
