My dog was spayed yesterday. When I arrived the doc told me she was in heat. Phew! Just in time.
This morning, I picked her up from the vet. Poor girl has three different medications. She has to stay in her little crate for 7-10 days! Unbelievable. This puppy wants to run.
It concerns me that I don't have a cone or anything for her head. I am not supposed to allow her to get to her stitches so will be looking for something tomorrow. Any ideas?

I thinks vets scare us just to be extra careful! Just don't let her jump or run. Walk her with a leash and just don't let her lick herself to death. My dog didn't have a cone or anything and was just fine. I would just gently pull his head away to keep him from licking himself. I don't know what he did in his crate, but I just did my part when he was out. Lay hands on her in Jesus name.
Hmmm.... a little cardboard cut out...duct tape...maybe some bailing twine and zip ties..... Hmmm.... I don't know.
