WE ARE IN ALASKA

I am in the Anchorage airport, posting something I wrote on the plane...

As I sit on our flight to Alaska, I am a bit grossed out. It is because of the first three minutes of our arrival onto the plane. Jeff and I happen to be sitting in row 28 of 30 on a 737. Right next to the bathrooms which has nothing to do with the story other than the fact a guy just spit all over my bare arm as he was walking by.

Back to getting on the plane…it never seems to be quick but is always rushed, when finally getting to your seat. As I walked up to row 28, I was hurriedly placing my items under the seat while noticing it had some “crumb-looking” things all over it. As I brushed them off, I realized they were boogers!!! EWWWWWW is all I can say. Upon sitting down (remember, I was in a hurry), I realized I brushed them all on to my bag. I typically don’t get grossed out at stuff but am holding back the dry heaves as I type.

My knees are up to the seat ahead of me and those of you gifted in the area of height can sympathize with Jeff’s 6 foot 5 inch body squeezing into the narrow space. His knees are sticking out in the aisles. He's been hit several times by passer-byers.

On the bright side, we have two cute girls (one and two years old) sitting behind us. Well, they are crying non-stop but cute. We are blessed to be able to zip up to Alaska for the day (to officiate a wedding) as I have never been.

It could have been worse, I remember a flight you were on to Virginia Beach that wasn't too pleasant.

Enjoy your trip to Alaska, one day I will get there. It is one of only two states in the USA that I haven't been in.

I am grossed out and heaving as well. Sounds like there needs to be some etiquette taught on the airplanes.
Have a great time!! :-)

Susan: Funny, just yesterday MSNBC.com ran an article in the travel section on:

Live by the code ... of cordiality
