Well, I thought I'd post about my motorcycle journey...or shall I say sprint? Jeff said today, "Whoever said life is a journey lied. It is a series of sprints."
Jeff took me out to the Harley Dealership and we purchased a V-Rod. It is matte and glossy black and lowered an inch. I proceeded to "bling" it up. Well, I am awaiting the delivery of rhinestones so it is only partially done.
At first, I was more scared than I was having fun. I had to speak the word that says, "God has not given me a spirit of fear but of power and love and of a sound mind." Now, it is more fun than scary.
I ride highway 2 to the church on nice days. There aren't many places I can go where I don't need to haul stuff. I think it is good because I am having to simplify! When riding, I cannot think of anything but the road and being safe. The other day, I took a deep breath in and a bug flew inside my helmet. I think I'll be limiting those breaths!
Speaking of bugs, I think makeup should be made of bug guts. It stays on real good. I am amazed at the size of bugs we have. It freaks me out when I'm riding and they hit my face shield.
I rode my first century on Sunday. We went to a Harley Show. Can I just say, there are clothing items I don't think any woman should wear? I'll leave it at that.
I am proud of my friend Deborah who passed the 1,000 mile mark on her bike. Way to go!
Jeff and I leave for a quick trip to Alaska this week. He is officiating his cousin's wedding.
I lost my voice on Sunday (no cold bug or anything, just voice) and I am praying I wake up with it back. I'll need it for Saturday when he races the 5/8s.
Talk soon! Hope to have internet up North. By the way, it doesn't get dark this time of year. Should I bring a sleeping mask?
