NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER

I was privileged to participate in Monroe's National Day of Prayer Evening event. The city's leaders, pastors, police, fire and church of Monroe came together for an evening to pray.

Representative Kirk Pearson and his beautiful wife Rachel are very special to my heart. We were all blessed to have them host this evening with us. I loved your cute shoes, Rachel!

Pastor Nate from Cascade Community Church was our guest speaker, although not a guest to the community! He did fantastic. He talked of today being National Dependence day with a couple great points on prayer. Simply put, when we pray, we are acknowledging our dependence on God and when we don't, we are saying, "I don't need your help, God." Thanks for that inspiration, Pastor Nate.

I enjoyed sitting next to his wife, Amie. She is a sweet friend of mine. The mayor, Donetta, also a friend did a wonderful job opening up the evening. I feel honored to live in a town whose mayor loves God and honors truth and morality. Thank you, Donetta!

The team who so diligently put the entire evening together did an amazing job! Laurel Turner, Rachel Pearson, Pastor Dan Snider and the whole team worked so hard and had laughter and smiles going the entire time. It was a beautiful event. We had white linens, roses, beautiful candles, cheesecake, a chocolate fountain and the works. Thank you, team!

I especially loved the live broadcast of our interns in Washington DC. That was so cool!

I look forward to Ladies prayer, tomorrow.
