CONNECTION POINT

I met some new friends tonight at Connection Point, membership class. Some include: John and Lydia, Jeff and Tapatha, Lesli, Adina, Travis, Jim and Rick and Gary. It was great to see repeat class-takers: Rick, Debbie, Beth and Larry.

If you haven't had the opportunity to spend time with Jeff and myself in this class, I invite you to jump in the next one. This is a wonderful class that talks about vision, strategy, what to expect from your pastors, where everyone fits in The Rock among many other aspects that make The Rock unique.

It is important for all people to find a local church and join. Each church is a part of the Body of Christ yet also has an inspired vision from God and flavor. Psalm 92:13 tells us, "Those planted in the house of the Lord, will flourish in the courts of our God." We also know how important it is to come together with fellow believers in worship.

A member of the local church recognizes there is greater influence and strength when combining efforts with other Christ followers. In essence they become a part of a vision bigger than themselves.

Church membership causes a Christ follower to continue advancing in their faith through their beliefs, words and actions. Church membership provides vast opportunities to be a part of people's lives, and projects which truly change the world.

I am excited for this class of world changers. They are going to be a huge asset to our volunteer teams!
