The Easter Choir commenced on Saturday afternoon. They had all practiced with the cd they were given ahead of time. Wow, was I impressed! We really had fun.
I am particularly blessed this year as we have children joining us. Last week, Carter Habich was in my office telling me how excited he was about being a part. I am excited you are!
A choir is used as a wall of sound or praise during a service. Our praise is so important. Psalm 22:3 tells us the Lord is "enthroned in the praises of Israel." He is enthroned in our praise. Wherever we go, we have the ability to invite God to come along, too. In the midst of a trial, when we begin to praise Him we say, "God, I want you to come and sit as a judge in a courtroom. Reside over my situation." He will do just that. Tell Him, your soul and the devil that the Lord is bigger than anything that comes your way.
Something powerful happens when we praise. The devil is afraid of our praise because he knows that our praise shuts him up, releases the power of God and causes all Hell to break off of us!
Easter has typically been a special time at The Rock Church. This year will be no exception! Invite, invite, invite everyone you know and those you don't know. The creative team has been brainstorming, praying and tossing ideas all over the place in attempt to make Easter 2007 the ultimate experience!

I think what really excites me is the people and how excited they are for Easter. I feel this amazing vibe of energy and joy thats aboput ready to burst outa these guys!!!! Even during practice!!! I am loving every second and I cant wait to meet again with everyone to keep on workin the music!!! Its gonna be TASTAY!!!
